Don't Let Your Past Make You Salty

Thank God for all those who have been delivered from strongholds such as drugs, alcohol, sexual immoralities, unforgiveness, gluttony, irresponsibility, self-abasement, fear and envy, just to name a few.

Many have halted in their tracks and never reached their full potential, because of the prohibiting nature of these life chains. However, none are more heavy than the weight of other people's expectations and/or limitations that are placed on you. The world, the community, the block and the kids are watching at all times.

The bible says that we ought to "let our lights so shine before men that they may see our good works and glorify the Father which is in heaven" (Mathew 5:16).

But, that doesn't mean that you need to wait for the approval of others before you move forward. "If God is for you, who can be against you" (Romans 8:31).

If others oppose you when you start to go forth, they've probably opposed you for quite some time, but lacked cause to express it. Don't be disappointed when others express opposition. Thank God you are finally doing something worth opposing.

You must understand that you cannot reach, strive or attain spiritual excellence without forgetting those things that are behind.

Apostle Paul says "Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 3:13-14).

So, if others wanna floss your past....let'em. The chains look far better on them.
