Praise the Lord Northside, this is the lesson for this weekend. Please meditate and practice sharing it with others verbally as the Holy Spirit leads you.
This is the answer to the most important question in the world:
WHAT MUST WE DO TO BE SAVED?
You are saved when you believe in Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit convicts you of your sin and you repent, which means to acknowledge that you are a sinner, and that you are sorry for your sinful lifestyle and choices. You then ask Jesus Christ to come into your life to lead and guide you and save you from yours sins and from an eternal burning hell. It is at that point that you are regenerated, which means to be made new. Your slate is wiped clean and all your past, present n future sins are forgiven. (NOTE: Though heaven is guaranteed, there are severe consequences to continued sin, included death.) After you repent and ask Jesus Christ to come into your life The Holy Spirit baptizes you into the Body of Christ. You are sealed to the day of redemption. This is the gospel message that whoever believes in Jesus Christ shall be saved.
Now you know it. Jesus said “Go and spread the gospel”. That’s the number one thing He will judge each one of us on Judgement Day. May He find us doing what He commanded us to do. God forbid He finds us conforming to this world and doing what our flesh commands us to do. Remember “what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his/her soul.” (Acts 2:37, 38 * John 1:12 * John 16:8 * Acts 16:31 * Mathew 28:16-20 * Romans 6:23).
